Lightener Directions + Warnings

FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY BY LICENSED COSMETOLOGISTS. NOT FOR CONSUMER USE. Not for retail sale. For in salon use only. Not for home use. Keep out of reach of children. Use only as directed. Continuously monitor client’s hair and overall well-being. Avoid distractions and do NOT leave client unattended. Do not inhale or ingest. Contains persulfates and other ingredients that may cause serious irritation, respiratory and/or allergic reactions. Avoid contact with eyes. If eye contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water and seek immediate medical attention. Remove contact lenses prior to rinsing eyes. Do not use on eyelashes, eyebrows, or other parts of the body. If swallowed contact a poison control center and seek immediate medical attention. Prepare and use in a well-ventilated area. Move to fresh air if inhalation difficulties occur. NOT FOR ON SCALP USE. Avoid skin and scalp contact. Immediately rinse from skin, scalp, or clothing if contacted. Do not use if client has previously experienced an adverse or allergic reaction to hair color or salon products. Do not use on injured, damaged, irritated or sensitive scalps. Do not use on damaged hair or recently relaxed, straightened or permed hair. Do not use on hair that has been exposed to henna, metallic dyes or box color. Proceed cautiously if hair: has been exposed to well or hard water (due to mineral content); has excessive product build-up; or if the client is taking certain medications (client should consult physician regarding medications); as adverse chemical reactions could occur.  Stop processing and immediately rinse product from hair if ANY adverse reactions occur (such as allergic reactions; burning, stinging, irritation, itching, rash, blistering, or other discomfort; or if an adverse chemical reaction is experienced such as excessive heat generation, steam production, or product swelling, bleeding or foaming, etc.). Immediately rinse product from hair and seek medical attention if necessary. DO NOT resume lightening process. Strand and/or patch tests recommended where warranted. Not intended for use on persons under age 16. Use mixture immediately. Do not reuse. PROCESS AT ROOM TEMPERATURE. Use of heat is NOT recommended. Application of heat increases risk of chemical and/or thermal burns. Misuse or failure to follow safety warnings and directions could result in damage to hair, injury to skin and scalp, severe and permanent hair loss, scarring, severe chemical and/or thermal burns or blindness. STORE IN A COOL, DRY PLACE (50-80°F; 10-26°C). Exposure to moisture or heat could cause combustion. Reseal bag and container after each use.
