Sunlights® Kaolin-Based Balayage Lightener

Directions for Use

Read and follow all safety warnings and directions before use. Perform a strand and patch test. Wear suitable gloves and only use stainless steel or plastic bowls and tools. Do not use metallic objects. Remove metal objects from hair prior to application.

Use only crème developer. Select crème developer (up to 50 vol. (15%)) based on desired level of lift and your prior professional experience with developers. DO NOT exceed 50 vol. (15%) developer. Mixing ratio 1:1. Mix 1 scoop (33 cc) Sunlights with 1 oz. crème developer. Test Sunlights with your preferred crème developer prior to use. NOT FOR ON SCALP USE.

Balayage hair. Process at room temperature. Frequently check hair’s progress. Processing time varies depending on the desired level of lift and the hair’s initial color, density, texture, and condition. Typical processing time is between 5 and 50 minutes. DO NOT exceed 50 minutes. DO NOT place under hooded dryer. CLOSELY MONITORED use of unforced heat is permissable.

Once desired lightening is achieved, rinse hair thoroughly then shampoo and condition.

Stop processing and immediately rinse product from hair if ANY adverse reaction occurs (e.g.: allergic reaction; burning, stinging, irritation, itching, rash, blistering, or other discomfort; or if an adverse chemical reaction takes place such as excessive heat generation, steam production, or product swelling, bleeding or foaming, etc.). Immediately rinse product from hair and seek medical attention if necessary. DO NOT resume lightening process.

• Continuously monitor client’s hair and overall well-being.
• Avoid distractions and do not leave client unattended.
• Do not inhale or ingest.
• Contains persulfates and other ingredients that may cause serious irritation, respiratory, and/or allergic reactions.
• Avoid contact with eyes.
• If eye contact occurs, rinse eyes thoroughly with water and seek immediate medical attention.
• Remove contact lenses prior to rinsing eyes.
• Do not use on eyelashes, eyebrows, or other parts of the body.
• If swallowed contact a poison control center and seek immediate medical attention.
• Prepare and use in a well-ventilated area. Move to fresh air if inhalation difficulties occur.
• NOT FOR ON SCALP USE. Avoid unnecessary skin and scalp contact. Immediately rinse from skin, scalp, or clothing if contacted.
• Do not use if client has previously experienced an adverse or allergic reaction to hair color.
• Do not use on injured, damaged, irritated, or sensitive scalps.
• Do not use on damaged hair or recently relaxed, straightened, or permed hair.
• Do not use on hair that has been exposed to henna, metallic dyes, or box color.
• Proceed cautiously if hair has been exposed to well or hard water (due to mineral content), has excessive product build-up, or if the client is taking certain medications, as adverse chemical reactions could occur (client should consult physician regarding medications). Strand and patch tests recommended.
• Not intended for use on persons under age 16. Use mixture immediately.
• Do not reuse.
• Process at room temperature.

Misuse or failure to follow safety warnings could result in damage to hair, injury to skin and scalp, severe and permanent hair loss, scarring, chemical burns, or blindness.
